Biography

As a woman lawyer who owns her own firm, I believe I bring nurturing and caregiving skills to my cases. I grew up in a family of nursing professionals and spent much of my formative years volunteering in facilities with physically and cognitively impaired adults. I know that when a person becomes physically or mentally impaired and can no longer work, it impacts the entire family. I know no one wants to have to apply for disability. If you need to talk to someone about whether you or your loved one should be filing for disability, or you have a claim in the process where you just have questions, call me. I can help.

I have successfully represented Social Security and Veteran's Disability claimants, starting with initial filing through administrative appeals and advanced appeals in the federal courts. I don't give up; I have done thousands of hearings and am keenly aware that judges are not swayed by attorney advertising bluster. Cases are won by careful preparation and effectively arguing the application of the law based upon the fine details of the evidence. Preparation of cases must be attorney driven and not staff driven. I believe in the practice of law as an honorable profession, not just another legal service business. I am a leader in the disability legal community, teaching and speaking both locally and nationally. I routinely accept referrals of advanced level Appeals Council and federal court claims from other firms.
